Pulling this bracelet out of my backpack while on a hospital visit made me giggle and reminded me of the last time I used this backpack and it was for a girls weekend where I laughed, I danced and I left the world behind for a few days. Easter looked different this year. It was the first Easter (only exception, 2020) I didn’t attend church. Our options were to rush with egg hunts and baskets and rush to get everyone dressed and fed and rush to church and then rush back home to get Andi to the airport. Or we could skip the rush and watch the kids find eggs and laugh as they frantically search and feel pride as the big kids share their earnings with the little ones because the hunt was unbalanced for their age gaps and watch them open their baskets and smile and say thank you.
