Another wonderful unified prom for Lily! Basha has been such an amazing place for her over the past 8 (!) years! Next year will be her final year and I’m already grieving over it. Savannah Bananas have fans for life! What a wonderful experience we had Thursday night!! I was anxious about having gen admin tickets and needing accessible seating however there was no need to fear. I reached about ahead of time and they said there is an ada entrance open 15 min before Gen public! We got great seats and better yet we were all together! The players were so interactive with fans! Every inning there were fun crowd interactions and field activities. We laughed, we danced, we ate, we had a ball. At one point there was a foul ball our way and Andrew went to get it and it ricocheted off his hand and hit Bella near her knee. I didn’t know this was even happening bc Alfonso was trying to grab that same ball and he and another kid both had their hand on it and the other kid ripped it out of his hand 😫 then I see Bella crying and a banana player, Jared Donalson, talking to her. She’s crying, Alfonso is sad and we were like what is happening 😂😂 next thing we know that same player is back with a team signed ball addressed to Bella! He was so sweet!! People were recording and air dropping me the video. It was surreal. But Alfonso was so sad just sitting there and the kids sitting next to us came over to him and gave him one of their balls with a bunch of signatures! He was beaming and I was nearly in tears that they say him. They saw the ball taken away, they saw his sister get all the attention and they brought him an awesome token of kindness. It was a memorable night for sure and we are fans for life! I hope we are able to get tickets every time they come to town!! #savannahbananas #sloanstadiun #mesa

Pulling this bracelet out of my backpack while on a hospital visit made me giggle and reminded me of the last time I used this backpack and it was for a girls weekend where I laughed, I danced and I left the world behind for a few days. I like to remember that me when I’m being this me most other days. We both exist and we are both pretty cool and so are you! #caregivers #caregiving #parentcaregiver #specialneedsmom
